I’m Dana — a registered dietitian in training and nutrition graduate student living in the Chicago area. I live and breathe all things nutrition, health and wellness. To me, being healthy means nourishing your body, mind and soul. When I’m not in class or studying, you can find me in a yoga studio, exploring the food scene, reading or enjoying a hot mug of tea.
Road to RD
Three years ago I took the leap and began going back to school to earn my masters in nutrition and become a registered dietitian. I took two years of prerequisite classes and now I’m one year into the coordinated dietetics program at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Although it’s been a long road full of late nights and lots of hard work to get to where I am today, I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I believe our health is our greatest asset and the platform where all else in our life can grow.
Why I’m Writing This Blog
I’m passionate about empowering women to take charge of their health and teaching them that when you take care of yourself, taking care of everything else in your life is much easier. Eating and exercising should come from a place of loving your body, not punishing it or feeling guilty. Choose what makes you feel good. Choose to love your body.
